Dear friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this bulletin. By now many of you are no doubt aware that Fr. Robert Doran, SJ, passed away on the morning of January 21. Fr. Doran was a first-rate theologian and integral to the work of the Lonergan Research Institute from its founding. He was moreover a good friend to many within the Lonergan community. He will be profoundly missed.
A few weeks ago, I announced that the LRI was planning a series of online responses to Fratelli Tutti. This series will be officially named the Fr. Robert Doran Memorial Reflection upon Fratelli Tutti. We are officially at this point calling for contributors to this project. We envision a series of online responses upon different sections of the encyclical. These responses should be grounded as much as possible in the Lonerganian or broader Ignatian tradition. We are especially interested in participation from students and emerging scholars. If you are interested in contributing, please contact Jonathan Bernier. If possible, please suggest which section(s) of the encyclical you would be most interested in commenting upon.
