We are honoured this year to have Pat- rick Byrne, Professor of Philosophy and past chair of the Philosophy Depart- ment at Boston College, deliver our annual Lonergan Lecture. In his lec- ture, entitled “Can We Be Moral With- out God? Philosophy, Religion, and Moral Foundations,” Prof. Byrne will examine some of the implicit assump- tions that often shape discussions of morality from the standpoint of neuro- science.
