Papers

The Lonergan Research Institute Archive cares for the academic and personal papers of Father Bernard Lonergan, S.J. and one of his principal collaborators, Father Frederick Crowe, S.J. The Lonergan papers have been stored in 66 acid-free boxes and indexed by Professors Robert M. Doran and John Dadosky. The Crowe papers are currently undergoing a similar preservation and indexing process.

Scholars are welcome to use the Lonergan and Crowe papers. Please contact the Director at 416-922-5474 x240 in advance to reserve a study desk.

Digital

With the co-operation of the Malliner Charitable Foundation and the financial support of Marquette University, many of Father Lonergan’s academic papers - property of the Jesuits in English Canada and entrusted to the care of the LRI at Regis College - have been digitized and are now available online at bernardlonergan.com. Recorded lectures are also available.

Most scans have been converted into searchable PDF files, but handwritten materials are available in a non-searchable format. In some cases, Professor Robert M. Doran has provided transcriptions of handwritten material.
