The Director’s position is a joint appointment by the Lonergan Research Institute and Regis College.

Approximately 50% of the position includes teaching and student supervision responsibilities such as those assumed by a member of the Regis faculty moving toward and attaining tenure and full membership in the TST advanced degree faculty. Specifically, this will involve teaching philosophy and theology in the area of Lonergan Studies. Student supervision is contingent upon attaining the appropriate level of appointment through the Toronto School of Theology. The Director’s performance as a member of the Regis faculty will proceed under the general supervision of the Regis Dean.

Approximately 50% of the position includes advancing and supporting the mission of the Lonergan Research Institute, which is to preserve, promote, develop and implement the thought of Bernard Lonergan. This will include administration, communications, fundraising, research, conference participation, publication and program supervision / implementation. The Director’s performance with respect to his / her specific duties as the chief executive officer of the LRI comes under the general supervision of the Chair of the LRI Board.

The general conditions of employment including general conditions, salary, benefits, promotion and tenure will follow those set out by Regis College for its faculty and the LRI Board for its Director. Performance evaluation will be conducted by both the LRI Board and the Regis College Board of Governors, in accord with the relevant by-laws of both organizations, and meeting a standard of excellence for performance as the director/administrator of the LRI and as a member of the faculty of Regis College.
