The Board of the Lonergan Research Institute has announced the appointment of Gordon Rixon, SJ, as the Institute‘s new Director, and Michael Vertin as its Associate Director. Gordon continues his work as Dean of Regis College and a trustee of the literary estate of Bernard Lonergan. Michael is a professor emeritus in the philosophy department of the University of Toronto and the editor of four volumes of Frederick Crowe‘s writings. The Board expresses its gratitude to Fr. Ronald Chochol who served the LRI well as Interim Director for two years during an important time of transition. The new team looks forward to supporting the LRI‘s editing team of Robert Doran, SJ, Robert Croken, SJ, Michael Shields, SJ and Danny Monsour. Gordon and Michael will also be busy preparing the Institute for its move to Regis College‘s new location at 100 Wellesley Street West in the heart of the University of Toronto’s main campus.
